Terms of Service

These terms govern your Bento account, subscription, credits, plugins, and use of the Bento Box client.

Effective July 15, 2026

1. Agreement and eligibility

By creating an account, accepting these Terms, buying a subscription or credits, downloading the Bento Box, or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. If you do not agree, do not use Bento.

2. Your account

Your account is tied to your authenticated Discord identity. You are responsible for keeping that account secure and for activity performed through it. Do not sell, lend, share, or transfer your Bento account, session, download access, credits, or license keys. You may use the Bento Box with multiple game accounts where your subscription permits it; that does not permit sharing Bento access with another person.

Display names must be unique and comply with our naming rules. We may rename a display name that impersonates another person, infringes rights, is deceptive, or is abusive.

3. Subscription

The Bento Box subscription costs $14.99 USD per month. It renews automatically each month until canceled. The price, renewal frequency, and amount due are shown before payment. You authorize the recurring charge when you affirmatively accept the subscription disclosure and complete payment.

You may cancel from the Purchase page. Cancellation stops future renewals and access normally continues through the end of the paid billing period. Except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise, completed charges are non-refundable. Contact us if you believe a charge was made in error.

4. Credits and plugins

Credits are a limited, non-transferable entitlement used only for eligible Bento marketplace items. They are not money, have no cash value, cannot be transferred between users, and cannot be redeemed outside Bento. Credit purchases, grants, deductions, reversals, and plugin purchases are recorded in your account history.

Credits cost $0.10 USD each and the minimum credit purchase is $10. Credit purchases are one-time charges and do not renew automatically. Purchased credits do not expire while your account remains available, except where a refund, reversal, or legal requirement requires an adjustment.

Plugin descriptions, prices, compatibility, and any separate data practices will be shown at the point of purchase or installation. We may remove unsafe, infringing, abandoned, or incompatible plugins. Any legally required remedy remains available.

Anyone who submits, distributes, or sells a plugin through Bento represents that they have the rights and permissions required to do so; that the plugin and its marketing do not infringe third-party rights; and that the plugin is not designed, provided, or promoted for unlawful access, unlawful circumvention, or intentional disruption of a third-party relationship. We may require supporting information and may reject, disable, or remove a plugin when these assurances are missing or reasonably disputed.

5. Software license

Subject to these Terms and your current entitlements, Bento grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use the Bento Box and included software. Bento and its licensors retain all ownership and intellectual property rights. You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, remove ownership notices, bypass access controls, or reverse engineer the software except where applicable law does not allow that restriction.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • circumvent subscriptions, credit charges, security checks, bans, or marketplace rules;
  • probe, attack, overload, scrape, or disrupt Bento infrastructure or another user;
  • submit malicious code or use plugins to access data or systems without authorization;
  • induce, encourage, or knowingly assist another person to violate law or breach an agreement;
  • spoof another person’s Discord identity or provide false payment or account information;
  • use Bento in a way that violates law or infringes another person’s rights; or
  • share access, keys, tokens, or paid content with people who are not entitled to them.

7. Third-party rights, agreements, and technological measures

Bento provides automation, diagnostic, and plugin functionality for use with software and accounts that users obtain and access through official third-party channels. Bento does not provide third-party game clients, accounts, credentials, subscriptions, game assets, or access rights. Bento is not designed to decrypt, descramble, unlock, disable, remove, spoof, or impair technological measures that control access to copyrighted works.

Bento does not grant you any right to access, copy, alter, interfere with, or exercise control over third-party software, systems, services, accounts, data, or copyrighted works. You may use Bento only with accounts, software, systems, and data that you are lawfully authorized to access, and only in a manner permitted by applicable law.

You must not use, configure, market, distribute, request, or provide Bento or a plugin to avoid, bypass, remove, deactivate, or impair a technological measure that controls access to or protects a copyrighted work, or to traffic in circumvention technology or services, except where you have the rights holder’s documented authorization or the specific conduct is clearly permitted by applicable law. You are responsible for confirming that any claimed statutory exception applies; Bento does not represent that an exception applies to a particular use, plugin, game, account, or technical measure.

You must not use Bento with the purpose of inducing, encouraging, or knowingly assisting a breach or disruption of a contractual or business relationship, or to cause unauthorized interference with a third party’s systems or services. The availability of a feature, plugin, technical capability, documentation, or marketplace listing is not permission or legal advice and does not establish that a particular use is authorized.

We may investigate documented complaints from rights holders, service operators, and other affected parties; request proof of authorization; preserve relevant records; and restrict accounts, plugins, listings, or features while a complaint is reviewed.

8. Third-party games and services

Bento is independent and is not endorsed by or affiliated with Jagex, RuneScape, Old School RuneScape, Discord, or other third-party platforms. Third-party names and marks belong to their owners. Your use of Bento may be restricted by third-party rules and may result in warnings, suspension, loss of a game account, virtual items, or other penalties. You are responsible for deciding whether and how to use Bento and for complying with third-party terms that apply to you. No Bento feature, documentation, or communication should be understood as authorization to disregard a third party’s rights or agreement.

9. Service changes and availability

The service may change as games, operating systems, security requirements, and plugins change. We do not promise that every feature, plugin, or game version will remain compatible or continuously available. We may suspend the service for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons.

10. Suspension and termination

We may limit or terminate access when we reasonably believe an account is shared, compromised, fraudulent, abusive, unsafe, or in material breach of these Terms. We may use account and login signals for investigation and will not rely on an IP address alone when making an account-sharing decision. You may stop using Bento and request account deletion, subject to records we must retain for security, disputes, or legal compliance.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bento is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, compatibility, and any guarantee that use will avoid detection or third-party penalties. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bento and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost accounts, virtual items, profits, data, or opportunities. Our total liability relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid Bento during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

13. Responsibility for third-party claims

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for reasonable losses, liabilities, and costs arising from a third-party claim caused by your material breach of these Terms, your unlawful or unauthorized use of Bento, or a plugin, listing, content, or instruction you submit or distribute through Bento. This provision does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by Bento’s own violation of law, and it does not limit rights or defenses that cannot lawfully be limited.

14. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms for legal, security, or product changes. If a material change affects existing users, we will provide notice and request renewed acceptance before continued account use. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any checkout disclosure form the agreement between you and Bento for the service.

Privacy requests and contact information are provided in the Privacy Policy.
